Brighton's Great Escape have announced its first wave of acts for this year's festival, among them the Allah-ahs and Phosphorescent, who will be appearing on Uncut’s stage.
Other acts announced include Unknown Mortal Orchestra, King Krule, Eddi Front and Tom Odell. A full list of this round of acts is bellow, but more will follow. We will announce more acts appearing on our stage in the April issue.
This is the last Uncut of 2012, rather unbelievably. It barely seems 12 months since I sat down to write the column that introduced our final issue of 2011. How much faster can time go by?
Twenty years of touring and recording, of inspiration and graft for moderate acclaim, and it comes down to this. Mark Kozelek, the pivot of first Red House Painters and now Sun Kil Moon, is engaged in one more slog around Europe. It is not going well.
Pretty interesting and diverse list, I think, pieced together under some moderately intense deadline heat. “Raid” by Pusha T with Pharrell and 50 Cent is the best rap track I’ve heard in a while, though truth be told I haven’t heard much in a while.
