Courtney Love and REM's Michael Stipe have collaborated on a track for Johnny Depp's forthcoming album of sea shanties – listen to it below. The track, titled 'Rio Grande', will appear on the pirate-themed album 'Son of Rogue's Gallery: Pirate Ballads, Sea Songs and Chanteys', which is set for release on February 18. The album is being put together by Johnny Depp, director Gore Verbinski and producer Hal Willner and follows their similar 2006 effort, 'Rogue's Gallery'.

The track Tom Waits recorded with Keith Richards for Johnny Depp's latest compilation album has been revealed. The duo teamed up to record a cover of the ballad "Shenandoah" as part of a pirate themed compilation album, called Son Of Rogue's Gallery: Pirate Ballads, Sea Songs And Chanteys. Antony Hegarty’s Meltdown festival: full line-up revealed

The line-up for Antony Hegarty's Meltdown festival at London's Southbank Centre has been revealed. The Antony And The Johnsons singer is curating the annual festival, following in the footsteps of Jarvis Cocker, David Bowie and, most recently, The Kinks' Ray Davies, by curating the 12-day festival which runs August 1-12.

Ray Davies and The Waterboys for new festival

Ray Davies, The Waterboys, Nick Lowe and Seasick Steve have been confirmed to play the new Westport Festival of Music and Performing Arts in County Mayo, Ireland. Running on Saturday, June 23 and Sunday June 24, the festival line-up also includes Lloyd Cole, Marc Almond and Hothouse Flowers. Davies will also join Bob Dylan, Patti Smith and Suede at this year's Hop Farm festival, which takes place in Paddock Wood in Kent from June 29 – July 1.
