Yeah Yeah Yeahs stream new album ‘Mosquito’ ahead of release

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are currently streaming their upcoming fourth album 'Mosquito' on YouTube. Scroll down to listen to record, which is set for release on April 15. The follow-up to 2009's 'It's Blitz!', 'Mosquito' sees the band again working with long-time producers David Sitek and Nick Launay, and was recorded at Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, Texas. Introducing the album for Noisey, frontwoman Karen O says "I am extremely excited about this record, excited in a way that I was back in the day, 'Fever To Tell' kind of style."

Yeah Yeah Yeahs have announced that their new album Mosquito will be released on April 15, 2013. Mosquito will be the band's fourth LP and the follow-up to 2009's It's Blitz. It sees the band again working with long-time producer David Sitek and Nick Launay, and was recorded at Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, Texas, where 'It's Blitz' was recorded. One track is produced by LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy<.strong> and features Dr Octagon. The artwork was designed by Beomsik Shimbe Shim.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs unveil brand new songs at California show

Yeah Yeah Yeahs debuted a clutch of new songs last night (January 11) at a show at the Glass House in Pomona, California. Arriving onstage in a glittery headband and zebra print cape over a red fringed jacket, frontwoman Karen O opened up the set with a brand new track which included the lyrics "it's good to sing/it's good to cry".

Yeah Yeah Yeahs made their live return in New York over the weekend, performing new material to a crowd of just 70 people. The band performed live at the Union Pool venue as part of a benefit show for the victims of hurricane Sandy on Saturday night (December 8). All money raised from the gig was donated to Waves 4 Water. Support on the night came from Higgins Waterproof Blackmagic, a side project from TV On The Radio's Tunde Adebimpe.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs to play Hurricane Sandy benefit show

Yeah Yeah Yeahs have confirmed that they will play live as part of a Hurricane Sandy fundraiser in New York next week. The band, who recently hinted at being close to finishing their next album, will play a tiny show at Williamsburg bar Union Pool on December 8. They will be joined on the bill by Tunde Adebimpe of TV On The Radio, performing with the group Higgins Waterproof Black Magic Band. All money raised at the event will go to Waves for Water's Hurricane Sandy relief initiative.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs to release new album in spring 2013

Yeah Yeah Yeahs are set to release a new album in the spring of next year, according to reports. Speaking on Los Angeles radio station KCRW, Jason Bentley – who hosts the Morning Becomes Eclectic show – said that the band would be releasing the follow-up to 2009's It's Blitz! in the "springtime" of 2013. Yeah Yeah Yeahs have released three albums, 2003's Fever To Tell, 2006's Show Your Bone and It's Blitz!.
