The Rolling Stones today announce the exclusive iTunes release of The Rolling Stones – Hyde Park Live album, taken from their two concerts in London’s Hyde Park on July 6 and 13. The album is now available to download from today exclusively from the band's iTunes store.

The Rolling Stones brought to a close their 50 & Counting tour on Saturday (June 13), with a second show at London's Hyde Park. The band had kicked off their 50 & Counting tour on October 25 last year with a club show in the 600 capacity La Trabendo in Paris and another at the 1,800 capacity venue le Théâtre Mogador on October 29.

We find ourselves in the wrong bar by mistake. Arriving at Hyde Park for this second London show on the Stones' 50 & Counting tour, we're issued with numerous coloured plastic wristbands that are intended to identify where we can travel around the site. There is this bar, that tier, this restaurant, these toilets... one of the first questions we're asked as we enter the site is whether we have a dinner reservation.

When The Rolling Stones appeared here in 1969, they played on a stage so ultimately flimsy it afterwards could have been towed away on the back of a truck or broken down on the spot and sold for scrap. Unlike the Stones, it was not built to last.

The Rolling Stones returned to Hyde Park last night (July 6, 2013), 44 years and 1 day since they played there in 1969. To a sold out crowd of 65,000 the band opened with "Start Me Up", for the first time on the 50 & Counting tour. The band were joined by Gary Clark Jr for "Bitch", who had played earlier in the day. Mick Taylor, who played his first gig with the Rolling Stones at Hyde Park July 5, 1969, joined the band for "Midnight Rambler" and the final encore of "(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction".

The Rolling Stones are preparing for their forthcoming Hyde Park concerts by having trees installed. Huge model oak trees have been planted on top of the stage, while bushes have been installing on the sound desk and other equipment. They want to recreate the first time they played in the Royal park in 1969.

At some point on Sunday night, it seems as if quite a few restless people watching the BBC’s Glastonbury coverage started Googling “threw”, “bottle” and “Mumford & Sons”. For the past 36 hours, the most popular page on www.uncut.co.uk has been an old news story from 2010, in which The Fall’s Mark E Smith articulated his dislike for Mumford & Sons, mistook them for “a load of retarded Irish folk singers," and claimed he threw a bottle at them during a festival in Ireland.

The Rolling Stones' Mick Taylor and The Black Keys' Patrick Carney appear together on a new track by Stephen Dale Petit called "Holla". Petit, a London-based American blues singer, enlisted the help of his famous pals to record the song, which is taken from his forthcoming album Cracking The Code, which also features a track with Dr. John. Speaking about the collaboration, Stephen Dale Petit said: "It’s been mind blowing to get to work with the best musicians & producers in the world, the crème de la crème. I can't wait for people to hear it."
