Latitude: Uncut’s top ten Saturday highlights

So Saturday's been and gone - but (in no particular order) here's the UNCUT team's top ten highlights of Latitude's second day...

Grace Jones headlines Latitude!

It's 20 minutes past the scheduled start-time for the main arena headliner, and our Saturday night diva has yet to emerge from behind the black curtain covering the front of the stage. Grace Jones, a woman whose concept of punctuality has traditionally been a little on the abstract side, may not yet have reached the level of fashionably late, but she's certainly crossed a line towards trendily tardy.

Friday: The Afternoon Shift – Chairlift, 1990s and Amazing Baby

Hello campers - since touching down a couple of hours ago, I've made it my mission to dash around the Latitude site catching as many bands as possible, giving my boots their first coat of brown since Green Man '07 in the process. Hopefully they won't see quite as much muddy action this time around.

Michael Mann — the full interview

I interviewed Michael Mann for the current issue of UNCUT, ahead of the release of Public Enemies. Call it reader service, but I thought those of you who're interested in such things might like a chance to read the full transcript (it's about 3,200 words, of which we only ran 1,000 in the issue). Anyway, here it is. Hope you enjoy.

Patrick Wolf to debut new song and cover Grace Jones at Latitude!

Patrick Wolf, the South London born avant-garde multi-intrumentalist who has just released his fourth album The Bachelor, speaks to Uncut.co.uk about his forthcoming appearance at Latitude 2009... Patrick Wolf

Neil Young – Hard Rock Calling, London Hyde Park, Saturday June 27, 2009

The biggest surprise of the day isn’t the weather, which is what you might call glorious, apart from a late afternoon cloudburst that at least gives me the excuse I’ve been looking for to hide under a table, perhaps the only sensible response to an appropriately thundery set by Ben Harper and the aptly-named Relentless7.
