In our cover feature, on the eve of the complete Basement Tapes’ release, renowned Dylan scholar Clinton Heylin takes an in-depth look at the fascinating period in the late-'60s when Dylan wrote and recorded with The Band and recuperated from his motorcycle accident and the pressures of fame.

A group of scientists in Sweden have been exposed for indulging in a long-running joke of fitting Bob Dylan lyrics into research articles and academic papers.

Laura Marling has covered Bob Dylan's "Like A Rolling Stone" with singer songwriter Eddie Berman. Click below to watch the pair's rendition of the classic track, which will feature on Berman's forthcoming new album Polyhymnia, which is out October 21. The video was recorded at Kingsize North Studios in Los Angeles. The pair have previously covered Springsteen's "Dancing In The Dark". Earlier this year Marling covered Townes Van Zandt’s "Colorado Girl" for the eTown programme on US radio station NPR.

Bob Dylan is to be honoured at a gala concert this February with an all-star lineup slated to perform.
