Arctic Monkeys to play two huge outdoor shows in Finsbury Park in May 2014

Arctic Monkeys have announced that they will play two huge outdoor shows in London's Finsbury Park next May. Earlier this month, Alex Turner had hinted that the Sheffield band were interested in playing their own outdoor gigs in 2014 following their headline slot at this year's Glastonbury Festival. Now, they have issued a statement on their official website confirming that they will play Finsbury Park on Friday May 23 and Saturday May 24, with support to come from Tame Impala, Miles Kane and Royal Blood.

Arctic Monkeys announce new tour dates

Arctic Monkeys have announced details of details of an American tour in January and February 2014. The dates include their biggest headline show in the States so far - at New York's Madison Square Garden on February 8. Starting in Miami on January 30, the tour will visit 12 cities in total, ending in Minneapolis on February 14. Deerhunter will provide support for the New York and Boston dates.

Arctic Monkeys postpone tour dates

Arctic Monkeys have postponed a second date on their current arena tour. The band already pulled a show due to take place last night [October 31] in Birmingham. They have now announced that the show due to take place tonight at Glasgow Hydro has also been postponed. The band have since announced that Alex Turner has been diagnosed as suffering from laryngitis.

Arctic Monkeys ride tractors in the black and white video for new single 'One For The Road' The song, which features on the band's latest album 'AM', is accompanied by a new video shot by Focus Creeps, who also made the videos for 'R U Mine?' and 'Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?' The video starts with guitarist Jamie Cook riding a tractor slowly through an empty field before joining his bandmates for a performance of the song, surrounded by models and fireworks exploding in the background.

Arctic Monkeys make chart history with AM

Arctic Monkeys have made Official UK Albums Chart history, as AM enters the chart at Number One. The band's new album, AM, released by Domino Records, is the band's fifth consecutive Number One, making them the first indie-released act to achieve such a feat, reports the Official Charts Company.

Arctic Monkeys debuted a new track "Arabella" at Zurich Open Air Festival. It was the first time the band have played the track live. "Arabella" is taken from their forthcoming album AM.
