Daft Punk are to be the subject of a new TV documentary next year.
French subscription channel Canal Plus have commissioned BBC Worldwide Production France to make a one-hour film about the famously elusive electro duo. It will air in 2015.
NBC are reportedly in the early stages of developing a TV drama series based around the career of The Beatles.
Deadline reports that the programme will be written by Michael Hirst, who has previously acted as executive producer on The Tudors, a show he created. Ben Silverman and Teri Weinberg will also act as executive producers on the eight-episode series.

The song was reworked in reference to the ongoing 'bridgegate' scandal, in which an aide working for New Jersey governor is accused of orchestrating traffic mayhem on the George Washington Bridge connecting New Jersey to Manhattan. The gridlock was allegedly intended to punish a Democratic mayor who did not endorse the governor's re-election.
Arcade Fire/ are to appear in their own concert special on American TV later this month.
The band are booked in as musical guests on the season premiere of NBC's Saturday Night Live on September 28, and straight after the episode ends the same network will broadcast a 30-minute Arcade Fire concert special, Consequence of Sound has confirmed. NBC's Arcade Fire special will celebrate the release of the band's forthcoming album Reflektor but at present no further details about the show are known.
