Jack White has been named the official ambassador for Record Store Day 2013.
The former frontman of The White Stripes has been named as the figurehead of the celebration of independent record shops thanks to the fact that he not only makes records, but also owns a record store and a record label: his Nashville based Third Man Records.
Atoms For Peace - the side project of Radiohead's Thom Yorke, producer Nigel Godrich, Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers and percussionist Mauro Refosco - are officially streaming their debut album 'Amok' ahead of its official release on February 25.

Jack White's Third Man Records has teamed up with a small Scottish label to reissue early blues records.
White's label has partnered up with Document Records to reissue the complete works of Charley Patton, Blind Willie McTell and the Mississippi Sheiks on remastered vinyl. A release date has been set for January 29.
"Third Man Records is thrilled to announce the release of the first three records in our highly-anticipated Document Records reissue series," said the label in an online statement.
Jack White has announced a full UK and Ireland tour for later this year.
The guitarist, singer and producer, who released his debut solo album, Blunderbuss, earlier this year, will play six shows on the trek in late October and early November.
The run of dates begins at Dublin's O2 Arena on October 31 and runs until November 8 when White headlines Edinburgh's Usher Hall.
The tour also includes shows in London, Birmingham, Bridlington and Blackpool's Empress Ballroom, the venue where The White Stripes recorded their first live DVD 'Under Blackpool Lights'.
