Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Robert Plant and Arcade Fire are among the bands playing at this year's New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. The event will take place across two weekends: April 25 - 27 and May 1 - 4. Other artists performing include Santana, Vampire Weekend, Alabama Shakes, John Fogerty, Aaron Neville and Allen Toussaint. Dave Grohl has revealed that he asked PJ Harvey to join the remaining Nirvana members on stage to replace Kurt Cobain. Speaking in this week's NME the Foo Fighters frontman said that he approached Harvey to play with his Sound City players – the band featured in his documentary about the California studio where Nirvana recorded 'Nevermind'.

Prince is rumoured to be performing at SXSW in Austin, Texas this week. According to HitFix, the pop legend, who has released two new songs already in 2013, is rumoured to be playing live at La Zona Rosa on Saturday, March 16 in what would arguably be one of the biggest shows in the US festival's history.
