Vashti Bunyan to release new album in October

Vashti Bunyan is set to release a new album in October. 'Heartleap' will come out on October 6 via FatCat. It follows her 1970 debut 'Just Another Diamond Day' and 2005's comeback album 'Lookaftering'. The new album was produced by Bunyan herself and was primarily recorded in her own studio. The release of the album will be supported by a UK tour, which starts at Birmingham MAC on October 7, with two shows at London St Pancras Church (8-9), Farndale The Band Room (11) and Manchester St Philip's Church (12).

Mercury Rev to play Deserter’s Songs in full

Mercury Rev will perform Deserter's Songs in full during their headline set at this year's Green Man Festival. The band will perform their 1998 album in full on August 16 at the festival, which takes place on Glanusk Estate, Black Mountains in the Welsh Brecon Beacons. Recently lso added to the bill are acts including Joanna Gruesome, The Field, Augustines, Ben UFO, Ought, The Pooh Sticks, Vancouver Sleep Clinic and H Hawkline, as well as DJ sets from Huw Stephens, Heavenly DJs and Simian Mobile Disco.

The Black Keys announce festival date for 2014

The Black Keys are set to headline the The Heineken Open'er Festival 2014. The duo are the first band to be announced for the yearly event, which takes place in Gdynia, Poland. Next year's festival will take place from July 2-5, 2014. Tickets are already on sale at Opener.pl/en and more artists will be announced over the coming months. The Black Keys will be headlining the opening day of the festival, July 2.
