Tom Waits collaborates with Keith Richards on ‘Shenandoah’ – listen

The track Tom Waits recorded with Keith Richards for Johnny Depp's latest compilation album has been revealed. The duo teamed up to record a cover of the ballad "Shenandoah" as part of a pirate themed compilation album, called Son Of Rogue's Gallery: Pirate Ballads, Sea Songs And Chanteys. The album is being put together by Johnny Depp, director Gore Verbinski and producer Hal Willner and follows their similar 2006 effort, Rogue's Gallery.

Tom Waits teases live shows?

Tom Waits has released a cryptic picture, fuelling speculation that he is set to announce live shows, possibly of port cities or even aboard a boat. The photo, pictured above and entitled Permission To Come Aboard?, sees Waits dressed as a cigar chomping pirate - complete with cutlass and eye patch - above the date August 7, on which a full announcement is expected to be made.

Tom Waits appeared on Monday evening's edition of Late Night With David Letterman, where he performed "Chicago", from his most recent album, 2011's Bad As Me, live for the first time. Musicians joining Waits on stage included his son Casey Waits on drums, long time bassist Larry Taylor, guitarist David Hidalgo, keyboardist Augie Myers and guitarist Big Bill Morganfield. Tom Waits to perform songs from Bad As Me live for the first time

Tom Waits is set to perform tracks from his most recent album, 2011's Bad As Me, live for the first time. The legendary singer songwriter will appear on the Late Show with David Letterman on July 9 and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on July 10, where he will be playing songs from his 17th studio album as well as appearing in conversation with the hosts.
