U2 are rumoured to be releasing their new album during the summer.
Rolling Stone says the LP has a 'tentative' summer 2014 release date, adding that the band had originally hoped to put out their Danger Mouse produced 13th album in December 2013. However, the project was thrown off course by the recording of "Ordinary Love" for the Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom soundtrack.

The black-and-white promo was directed by Mark Romanek, the director behind videos such as Johnny Cash's "Hurt", and sees the band performing in front of a crow.
U2 premiered the track, which was a charity single released as part of a new partnership between Bono's charity (RED) and Bank Of America, during last month's Super Bowl.
U2, Arcade Fire and Karen O are among the nominees at this year's Oscars.
U2's "Ordinary Love" (from Mandela: The Long Walk To Freedom) is nominated in the Best Original Song category, alongside Karen O and Spike Jonze for "The Moon Song" from Her and Pharrell Williams' "Happy", from Despicable Me 2.
Meanwhile, Arcade Fire and Owen Pallett have been nominated in the Original Score category for the soundtrack to Spike Jonze's Her.
U2 will reportedly release their new album in April 2014, according to reports which also claim the album could be announced at Super Bowl XLVIII in February.
The band are due to release their first album since 2009 next year with Adam Clayton recently confirming that the group were planning to wrap up recording by the end of this year.
U2 will release two new songs from the forthcoming Nelson Mandela biopic, Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom on Record Store Day's Black Friday.
The two new tracks, titled "Ordinary Love" and "Breath", will be released on exclusive 10-inch vinyl on November 29, according to the official Record Store Day website. Modern Vinyl reports that only 10,000 copies of the release will be pressed, while the artwork for the single can be seen above.

The song, which is taken from the film Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom, will be available as the A-side of a limited-edition 10-inch vinyl release on Record Store Day's Back to Black Friday event on November 29.
U2 are aiming to finish their new album by the end of November, bass player Adam Clayton has revealed.
The band last released an album in 2009 when they put out No Line On The Horizon. It is expected that their new record will appear in 2014 with Clayton confirming that the band are trying to wind up work and get the songs "absolutely right" prior to Christmas.
