WORLD EXCLUSIVE REVIEW — Dylan biopic “I’m Not There”

Our correspondent at the Venice Film Festival saw Todd Haynes' Dylan film I'm Not There this morning. Here's our exclusive report.

Field Day — Victoria Park, Saturday August 11

This week's new festival is, in the words of promoter Tom Baker (no, not that one), a "psychedelic Summer fete". So, we're promised welly golf, hog roasts, a jumble sale along side some Acid Folk in the shape of Vetiver and Bat For Lashes, plus a strong mix of cutting-edge names including Battles, the Aliens and Four Tet.

So we’re back in England, and the sun of this year’s Fib seems a hazy, distant memory: What were your favourite moments? Here...

The International Festival de Benicassim is over, and we're back in a grisly ill-weathered England - craving sunshine, and the return of destroyed brain cells... Muse, closed the Fib festival with great space rock aplomb - the soaring nature of the trio combined with their spectacular video projections that included giant marching robots and melted acid-like views from the stage - proved to be amazing.

T In The Park Friday and Saturday

Bjork rules, Arctics whimper, Good morning on Glasto Day 2

Bjork kicks some futuristic arse on Glastonbury opening night...

Orbital and Glastonbury

Terrible weather forecast notwithstanding, I'm feeling a bit jealous of everyone heading off to Glastonbury this morning. Farah is representing for Uncut, and you should keep an eye on our festival blog, where she'll be filing reports all weekend.

Turbo Fruits, plus Smashing Pumpkins (slight return)

I know I vaguely promised not to keep going on about this, but some of Smashing Pumpkins' more extreme fans keep dropping by here. Today's contribution comes from Bobby, who remains convinced I haven't heard "Zeitgeist".
