Band to warm up for the August event at the Forum

[b]The Libertines[/b] are set to warm up for their performances at the [b]Reading And Leeds Festivals[/b] next month by playing the [b]HMV Forum[/b] in [b]London[/b].

Co-frontman [b]Carl Barat[/b] told BBC Newsbeat that the reunited band will headline the [b]Kentish Town[/b] venue before playing [b]Leeds Festival[/b] on August 27 and [b]Reading Festival[/b] on August 28.

The show will be [b]The Libertines[/b]’ first full gig as a four-piece since they split in 2004. Details of the gig are yet to be announced.

Speaking of rehearsals for the festival performance, [b]Barat[/b] said: “We’ve got a bit of time blocked out. As I say it’s a bit last minute – it always is. Of course we’ll be able to do it and we’ll be able to do it with aplomb.”

[b]Guns N’ Roses[/b], [b]Arcade Fire[/b] and [b]Blink-182[/b] are set to headline the [b]Main Stage[/b] at the [b]Reading And Leeds Festivals[/b] (August 27-29).
