Rufus Wainwright has announced details of a new UK tour next April, kicking off at the same time as his opera ‘Prima Donna’ has its premiere in London.

Wainwright is expected to preview material from his new album ‘All Days Are Nights: Songs for Lulu’ (which is due out in spring 2010) during the tour. He is currently putting the finishing touches to the album in his New York studio.

Tickets for Wainwright‘s tour, which is billed as An Evening With: Rufus Wainwright, go on sale on Friday (December 18).
