The Celtic soul warrior asserts himself in the new issue of Uncut

A new song by pint-sized pop genius Prince is due to be released today (February 2) on his new magazine website, 3121.com.

No details are available as to the sound of “Guitar” but that hasn’t stopped some fans speculating. The best ‘review’ Uncut uncovered was this beauty on 3121.com’s message board: “’Guitar’ has a long-ass spoken intro about how the word ‘guitar’ can be broken up into “gui” and “tar” and it rambles on for exactly seven minutes and seven seconds about the negative connotations of the word “Tar” in the New Translation Bible…”

The new download single precedes Prince’s appearance at one of the biggest events in the US sporting calendar, the Superbowl, which takes place this Sunday (February 4).

Speculation about whether Prince will promote his new single, or stick to his classics are also up for discussing on boards across the web.

Prince is also playing a weekly weekend residency of shows at the 3121 nightclub in Las Vegas on February 9/10, 16/17/18 and 23/24.
