Band perform 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' with 80s popstar

[b]Arcade Fire[/b] performed onstage with [b]Cyndi Lauper[/b] at the New Orleans Jazz And Heritage Festival on Friday (May 6).

The band have taken to covering [b]Lauper[/b]’s 1983 hit single [b]’Girls Just Wanna Have Fun'[/b] in their live set, and she joined them onstage to perform it with them as well as [b]’Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)'[/b].

[b]Arcade Fire[/b]’s [b]Win Butler[/b] did not introduce the singer, simply saying to the crowd “We’d like to do one of our favourite songs from the 80s”, at which [b]Lauper[/b] walked onstage.

[b]Arcade Fire[/b] headlined the New Orleans Jazz And Heritage Festival, which also saw sets from [b]Bon Jovi[/b], [b]Mumford And Sons[/b], [b]The Strokes[/b], [b]Wilco[/b] and [b]The Decemberists[/b].

They return to the UK on June 30 to headline [b]London[/b]’s [b]Hyde Park[/b].
