Kurt Vile announces release of new album ‘Wakin On A Pretty Daze’

Kurt Vile has announced the release of his fifth solo album, which is set to be called 'Wakin On A Pretty Daze'. The follow-up to 2011's 'Smoke Ring For My Halo', will come out via Matador on April 8. The album was produced by John Agnello. Vile recently told Spin that the record sounds like Fleetwood Mac's 'Tusk'. "It's totally our 'Tusk', but no cheese. Just rock," he said of the album, which features guest appearances from Farmer Dave Scher of Beachwood Sparks and Stella Mozgawa of Warpaint.
