Blur may record a new album in Hong Kong this week, according to Damon Albarn.
The band were playing a date at Hong Kong's AsiaWorld-Expo last night, which was originally due to be followed by some postponed dates in Japan. Faced with a week to kill in Hong Kong, Damon Albarn teased that they may use the time to lay down some new material.
Speaking to the crowd, Albarn said: "So we have a week in Hong Kong, and we thought it would be a good time to try and record another record." Scroll down to watch a clip.
The Stone Roses will no longer be topping the bill at this weekend's Coachella Festival in California as they did last Friday.
Blur - who opened for the Manchester legends on the festival's main stage on April 12 – will now close the Coachella Stage this Friday (April 19) on the second weekend of the festival.

The band have confirmed that they will be playing Coachella festival in California on April 12 and 19. They will also play Mexico's Vive Latino Festival on March 16, followed by Hong Kong's Asia World Arena on May 6 and the New Taipei County Stadium on May 9.
Graham Coxon has stated that there will not be another Blur album in the near future.
The guitarist made the revelation in a conversation with a fan on Twitter earlier today (Nov 26). Though far from a definitive statement on the future of the band, Coxon gives short shrift to the idea of releasing another album with Damon Albarn, Alex James and Dave Rowntree. Talking to the Daily Star, James – who is organising his own food and music event, The Big Feastival, from his Oxfordshire farm this weekend – said that while he wouldn't be interested in pursuing a solo career, he'd like to join Marr and Nile Rodgers in a supergroup.
The former Smiths guitarist joined the Chic man onstage earlier this year at Manchester's Parklife Weekender, with Marr later hinting that the pair could continue their collaboration by entering the studio together.

Titled Parklive, the 3-CD set features tracks from the Hyde Park shows and a bonus disc of previously unreleased live material from the band's recent warm-up shows in Margate, Plymouth and Wolverhampton.
A 5-CD book-bound edition will also be released, which will feature an extra Blur Live At The 100 Club disc and a DVD of the Hyde Park show. The 60-page book will feature exclusive pictures of both the Hyde Park and 100 Club shows.
