Beth Orton, Deus and Guillemots For Latitude!

More music additions for the Suffolk bash announced today

BRIT Award-winning singer/songwriter Beth Orton is amongst the latest additions, announced today (May 13), for this year’s Latitude festival in Suffolk this July.

She is currently working on an as-yet-untitled new studio album, the follow-up to 2006’s ‘Comfort Of Strangers’, and will appear on Latitude’s main stage, the Obelisk Arena.

Also announced today for the main stage are Belgian rockers Deus who have just released an acclaimed new studio album ‘Vantage Point’, one of their new tracks featuring fellow Latitude main stage performer Guy Garvey from Elbow.

Former Beta Band members’ new project Aliens, I Am Kloot and Grammatics are also set to share the stage that will be headlined by Franz Ferdinand, Sigur Ros and Interpol.

New additions for the Uncut Arena are self-styled power-poppers the Guillemots, Black Kids and Magistrates.

Previously confirmed for the Uncut stage are such great acts as Amadou and Mariam, the Mars Volta, the Tindersticks, Julian Cope, Blondie and M.I.A.

New artists confirmed for the Sunrise Arena include Wallis Bird and Metronomy.

Latitude takes place at Henham Park, Southwold, Sufflolk between July 17 and 20.
