I’ve managed to find “Enigmatic”, the Czeslaw Niemen album which this comes from, which doesn’t quite measure up to the promise of “Kwiaty Ojczyste”, but the rest of his catalogue looks at the very least intriguing. If anyone knows more and can give me a steer, please let me know.

Other good things this week: a nice drone record from Sophie Cooper & Ben Nash, and the Harmonious Thelonious CD, which seems to be a European techno producer brilliantly simulating the Congotronic sound of Konono No 1. A sort of update of 23 Skidoo, in a way. And this Peter Gordon comp I’ve just put on.
