John Fogerty is out on an extensive tour of the US right now, so it seems a good time to dip into the archives and remind ourselves of this great feature from Uncut’s February 2012 issue (177). At the dawn of the ’70s, Creedence Clearwater Revival were the biggest band in the world – a brilliant and driven hit machine with deep roots in American tradition. Bruce Springsteen inducted the E Street Band into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last night [April 10]. The current line-up of the E Street Band was on hand for the induction, alongside original drummer Vini "Mad Dog" Lopez and keyboardist David Sancious. Danny Federici's widow Maya accepted on his behalf, and Victoria Clemons spoke for her late husband Clarence. You can read Springsteen's entire induction speech below:

The Waterboys unveil Fisherman’s Box tracklisting
