Animal Collective stream Centipede Hz ahead of official release

Animal Collective are currently streaming their brand new album, 'Centipede Hz', ahead of its official release. The Baltimore band don't release their 10th studio LP until September 3, but fans can hear the LP now at www.radio.myanimalhome.net – the band's online radio station which they launched last month. The track is the first to be taken from the Baltimore electro-psych band's new album Centipede Hz. The album, which is the band's first studio effort since 2009's Merriweather Post Pavillion, will be released on September 3. It will be their 10th album and follows the release of 2010's "visual album" ODDSAC.

Animal Collective announce November UK tour plans

Animal Collective have announced plans for a short UK and Ireland tour this November. The Baltimore electro-psychedelic band will play four shows in London, Dublin, Glasgow and Manchester, following the release of their new album, Centipede Hz, which is set to come out on September 3. The dates make up part of a larger world tour. Centipede Hz is the band's tenth full-length studio album and their first since their 2009 effort, Merriweather Post Pavillion. It also follows the release in 2010 of the band's "visual album", ODDSAC.

Animal Collective: “We wrote our new album as a rock band”

Animal Collective have spoken about the making of their new album Centipede Hz and revealed that they wrote their new record "as a rock band in a room". The Baltimore electro-psychedelic band will release the album, which is the 10th LP of their career, in September via Domino Records. Centipede Hz is the band's first full-length studio album since their 2009 effort Merriweather Post Pavillion and follows the release in 2010 of the band's "visual album" ODDSAC.

Animal Collective name their new album

Animal Collective have revealed that their new studio album will be titled Centipede Hz. The Baltimore electro-psychedelic band will release the album, which is the 10th LP of their career, in September via Domino Records. The band made the announcement via a video on their official website, which revealed the record's title, a September release and a number of song titles.

Animal Collective: “Fall Be Kind”

As you might have seen by now, Animal Collective’s “Merriweather Post Pavilion” has done rather well in Uncut’s Best Of 2009 poll. “MPP” came out in early January, and a continuously active year has now climaxed with a reissue for “Campfire Songs” and this, “Fall Be Kind”, a fairly extraordinary new EP.
