Boy George has been found guilty of falsely imprisoning a male escort.

The former Culture Club singer was convicted at Snaresbrook Crown Court in London this morning (December 5).

Escort Auden Carlsen was handcuffed to a bed in the east London flat of Boy George, real name George O’Dowd, in April 2007 after the singer accused him of tampering with his computer.

The singer will be sentenced on January 16 2009 and may face a prison term.

According to BBC News, Judge David Radford said: “The fact that your bail is being continued does not imply that this will be dealt with by a non-custodial sentence. I don’t want any false expectations created.”
