Marianne Faithfull has been forced to cancel shows in Lebanon and America after fracturing her sacrum. Having suffered the injury in a fall in July, Marianne had been hoping to be fully recovered in time for the shows. In a handwritten letter to fans in Beirut she wrote: “I am so sad I won’t be able to sing for you on Saturday. I broke my back in July & hoped & prayed I would be better enough to be able to do the performance on 17th August, although it’s not very long, but my recovery was going well. Alas!
