Public Image Ltd confirmed as main support for Stone Roses gig

Public Image Ltd. will support The Stone Roses at Finsbury Park on June 8, it has been confirmed. The news follows leaked information of the full support line-up for both of the Stone Roses London gigs, which take place next month, earlier this year. PiL were among the names leaked alongside Dizzee Rascal, Miles Kane and The Courteeners for the June 7 and 8 gigs.

Blur swap places with The Stone Roses to headline weekend two of Coachella Festival

The Stone Roses will no longer be topping the bill at this weekend's Coachella Festival in California as they did last Friday. Blur - who opened for the Manchester legends on the festival's main stage on April 12 – will now close the Coachella Stage this Friday (April 19) on the second weekend of the festival.

Johnny Marr to support The Stone Roses at London gigs

Johnny Marr has announced that he will support The Stone Roses at their two London gigs this June. The Manchester band will headline two huge dates at London's Finsbury Park on June 7 and 8 followed by a single show at Glasgow Green on June 15. The supports for the Glasgow show are Primal Scream, Jake Bugg and The View. Marr is the first act to confirm his appearance on the bill for the London shows, posting a message on Twitter this morning (April 2).

The Stone Roses documentary to be released in June

The Stone Roses documentary Made Of Stone is to open nationwide on June 5, it has been confirmed. The film was made by This Is England director Shane Meadows and goes behind the scenes on the Manchester band's 2012 reunion, from the early stages to their celebratory hometown gigs at Heaton Park. The event will be satellite-linked to 100 cinemas as part of nationwide preview screenings running concurrently with the premiere launch, with tickets for both the host venue and the satellite-linked cinemas made available to the public.

New details of Shane Meadows’ Stone Roses documentary emerge

New details of the forthcoming documentary on 2012's Stone Roses reunion filmed and directed by acclaimed British filmmaker Shane Meadows have been revealed. Speaking exclusively to NME, producer Mark Herbert (This Is England) said that Meadows was currently in the process of editing more than 350 hours of footage covering the period from October 2011 when the band announced their comeback to August 2012 when they ceased touring.

Extra Stone Roses Finsbury Park tickets onsale today

A limited number of tickets to see The Stone Roses at their two gigs at London's Finsbury Park in June 2013 went onsale at 10am today, priced at £55 plus booking fee. A statement on the band's website posted earlier this week: "Due to the granting of our license at Finsbury Park a very limited number of extra tickets for both London shows – Friday 7th June and Saturday 8th June – will be going on sale at 10am this Friday."

The Stone Roses have been announced as the first headliners of the Isle of Wight Festival, 2013. The reunited Madchester legends will play their only UK festival appearance of the season on the main stage on Friday, June 14 2013.

The Stone Roses have announced plans for one-off gig in Dubai next year. The reformed Manchester band will play the Media City Amphitheatre on February 21, 2013. Tickets for the concert go on sale on Sunday (November 18). Fans can register for tickets at Thestonerosesdubai.com. The band are also set to play two shows at Finsbury Park in London and another at Glasgow Green in June next year. Support for the Glasgow show includes Primal Scream, Jake Bugg and The View. Support for the London shows will be announced shortly.
