Elvis Presley's estate is allegedly suing a gun manufacturer for using the singer's likeness in an advert. According to TMZ, Elvis Presley Enterprises has filed a lawsuit against Beretta claiming they wrongfully used Presley's image without permission to advertise their new 692 shotgun. They also used Elvis impersonators at the 2014 Shot Show in Las Vegas.

Keith Richards once shot a golf ball out of a gun - after the unwanted ball had landed in his breakfast, according to a new book. Richards apparently got trigger-happy while on tour with The Rolling Stones in the 1990s, when the band were staying at a hotel with an adjoining golf course. The band's sax player Bobby Keys claims to have caused the incident in his new autobiography Every Day Is Saturday Night.

Eddie Vedder, Jack White and Guns N’ Roses play Neil Young’s fundraiser

Guns N' Roses, Jack White and surprise guest Eddie Vedder played Neil Young's annual Bridge School Benefit in California this weekend. The event, celebrating its 26th anniversary, featured an all-star line up with The Flaming Lips, Foster The People, Steve Martin, kd Lang and Ray LaMontagne all featuring on the strictly acoustic bill. According to Rolling Stone, Young opened the all-day event by performing a short set, including a duet with his wife Pegi on "Comes A Time".

Guns N’ Roses’ Axl Rose demands that ‘defamatory’ art exhibition is closed

Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose has demanded that an LA photographer closes her art exhibition as it includes a defamatory picture of him. TMZ reports that Rose is livid after learning that Laura London's 'Once Upon A Time… Axl Rose Was My Neighbour' collection includes a photo of what she claims is Rose's garage door spray-painted with the words 'Sweet Child Of Die'.

Top Gun director Tony Scott jumps to death

British filmmaker Tony Scott, director of Top Gun, has died after jumping from a bridge in Los Angeles. Scott, 68, was seen parking his car and jumping from the Vincent Thomas Bridge over Los Angeles Harbor at 12.30pm local time on Sunday (August 19). According to official sources quoted in the Daily Breeze, Scott leapt "without hesitation". A suicide note was found inside Scott's car, a black Toyota Prius, said US Coast Guard Lt Jennifer Osburn. A representative from the LA County Coroner's Office told the BBC: "We have no reason to believe it was not a suicide."

Ex-Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash announces full October UK tour

Former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash has announced a full UK solo tour for later this year. The guitarist, who released his second solo album Apocalyptic Love in May, will play five shows across the UK in October. The gigs begin in Edinburgh at the city's Corn Exchange on October 7 and run until October 15 when the guitarist and his band headline Newcastle's O2 Academy. The run of gigs also includes shows in Manchester, Birmingham and London.

Axl Rose thanks crowd for “not throwing shit” at opening night of Guns N’ Roses’ UK and Ireland tour

Guns N' Roses kicked off their UK and Ireland tour at The O2 in Dublin last night [May 17] with a near three-hour set that did not conclude until just after 1:15am. Pyrotechnics, six costume changes, a cover of the Pink Panther theme tune and the band's now traditional late arrival on stage marked the 21-song set that got underway at 10:25pm - nearly an hour and a half after the band's expected stage time.
