Pixies frontman Black Francis has announced plans to co-present a film event at the British Library.
He will be attending an evening of film and literature with Josh Frank and Steven Appleby - the co-creators of his SelfMadeHero illustrated book The Good Inn, a novel about art, conflict and the pioneers of early cinema - on June 7.
Damon Albarn will make his radio presenting debut this Saturday (October 5).
The frontman will be covering for regular presenter Dermot O'Leary on his BBC Radio 2 show, which airs at 3pm. The BBC states that Albarn will be playing music "from all over world", and will also be joined by actor Idris Elba as well as Paul Simonon, Ken Dodd and a Pentecostal Choir.
Scott Walker will present his most recent album, 2012’s Bish Bosch, as a unique three-dimensional experience at the Sydney Opera House.
Running from May 24 to June 10, Bish Bosch: Ambisymphonic has been developed by Walker with mixed media artists Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard.
Blur will headline an intimate gig at The 100 Club next month as part of Converse's 'Represent' series of free shows.
Damon Albarn and co have been confirmed as the headline act for the August 2 show, and will play last on a bill which includes a stellar supporting cast of The Bots, Savages and Swiss Lips. To get tickets, fans need to visit Converse.co.uk/blur from 9am on Wednesday August 1, with registration open until 6pm. Successful applicants will be notified by email and must confirm if they can attend by 12pm on August 2.
