The biggest Elvis event of the year, the Elvies Awards, will see hundreds of Elvis tribute acts from all over Europe gather to compete this weekend in Porthcawl, South Wales.

The Elvies on Saturday is only part of the festival. An Elvis Disco kicks off proceedings on Friday night. Other Elvisy highlights include an Elvis Gospel show, and the Elvis Presley Story, a glittering two-hour show featuring Mario Kombou, star of the musical Jailhouse Rock.

Dust off your blue suede shoes.

Tickets for shows over the weekend start at £5. A weekend VIP package is £86.

More information about the festival is available at www.elvies.co.uk.
