The excitement is almost hushed now that showtime is about to begin at 7pm, almost as though there is a collective deep intake of breath.
Rumours abound about those stars on the guestlist, everyone from Paris Hilton to Bill Clinton to Dave Grohl and Tony Blair are supposedly in the venue.
