The papier mâché head worn by Arcade Fire band member Richard Reed Parry as part of the band's live show has gone missing. The stage prop was taken during Reflektor Tour show in Bridgeport, Connecticut on March 18. A statement from the band, relayed by Brooklyn Vegan, states that the band have photos of the theft in progress. They are appealing for the return of the mask.

Arcade Fire have confirmed they will play in Haiti as part of the country's carnival celebrations.

U2, Arcade Fire and Karen O are among the nominees at this year's Oscars. U2's "Ordinary Love" (from Mandela: The Long Walk To Freedom) is nominated in the Best Original Song category, alongside Karen O and Spike Jonze for "The Moon Song" from Her and Pharrell Williams' "Happy", from Despicable Me 2. Meanwhile, Arcade Fire and Owen Pallett have been nominated in the Original Score category for the soundtrack to Spike Jonze's Her.

Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Robert Plant and Arcade Fire are among the bands playing at this year's New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. The event will take place across two weekends: April 25 - 27 and May 1 - 4. Other artists performing include Santana, Vampire Weekend, Alabama Shakes, John Fogerty, Aaron Neville and Allen Toussaint. Arcade Fire have announced plans for a huge UK show set to take place at London's Earls Court on June 6, 2014. The band revealed the date via a 15-second long video on YouTube. Scroll down to watch the video. Tickets for the show go on sale November 28. Meanwhile, Win Butler has hinted that the band will also play UK festivals next summer.

Photo: Gus Stewart Arcade Fire covered The Clash's "I'm So Bored With The USA" at their show at London's Roundhouse last night [November 12]. This was the band's second show at the London venue: the band had also played the previous night [November 11], where they had covered Devo's "Uncontrollable Urge". Arcade Fire performed with Neil Young at Young's Bridge School Benefit concert on Saturday, October 26. The band played a full acoustic set at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California. Before they were joined by Young, Win Butler said he had a dream in which he wrote a new song, on awake he realised it sounded like a Neil Young song. Butler then declared that the song was called "I Dreamed A Neil Young Song", before inviting Young on stage.
