David Byrne and St Vincent have released a second track from their forthcoming album, Love This Giant. The track, "Weekend In The Dust", follows "Who", which they released in June. You can hear "Weekend In The Dust" here. It can be downloaded when you pre-order Love This Giant. The album is released on September 11 on 4AD/Todo Mundo.

Patti Smith, St Vincent and The National to appear on Boardwalk Empire soundtrack

Patti Smith, St Vincent and The National's Matt Berninger are amongst those set to appear on Volume Two of the soundtrack to hit HBO show Boardwalk Empire. Due for release on September 3, the compilation follows Volume One, which won a Grammy for Best Compilation Soundtrack. The new release sees artists tackling songs from the 1920s.

St Vincent, Sharon Van Etten and Sufjan Stevens are among the guests who appear on The National's forthcoming sixth studio album. Arcade Fire's Richard Reed Parry, Doveman and Nona Marie Invie, from US band Dark Dark Dark, also contributed to 'Trouble Will Fine Me', which is out on May 20.

David Byrne and St Vincent announce trio of UK shows

David Byrne and St Vincent have announced a trio of headline UK shows, set to take place in August. The pair will play London's Roundhouse on August 27, Birmingham Symphony Hall on August 28 and Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on August 29. The shows will take place as part of a wider European tour. David Byrne and St Vincent will also join Sigur Ros and Belle And Sebastian in headlining this summer's End Of The Road festival following their stand-alone shows.
