The kings of the New York indie scene, Interpol finally signed to a major label (Capitol) for studio album three ‘Our Love To Admire’, released last year. Introducing strings and bass to their jagged guitar sound, the group led by Paul Banks have lost none of their sharp angles and crepuscular atmospherics. Standout tracks include “Pioneer To The Falls” and the much remixed “The Heinrich Maneuver.”

Word has it that the band have requested a Learjet to get them to and from the festival site in Suffolk… Oh, and celeb-fan Black Hawk Down star Josh Hartnett is rumoured to be attending the show, too.

Interpol should make for a great (almost swooning) finale to the third Latitude festival on July 20.
