The Seattle-based band (named after a Bonzo Dog ‘Gorilla’ album track) recently topped the US Billboard chart with their second major label release (their sixth album), continuing to win hearts (and minds) by stealth with their poignant, discreetly experimental songs.

Death Cab For Cutie are set to play directly before Friday headliners Franz Ferdinand and when they were North American touring partners in 2006, it resulted in DCFC, Franz and opening support act The Cribs all drumming (that’s TEN drummers on stage – click here to see) to the Scottish art-rockers’ track “Outsiders.” Can you imagine how big that would sound in the Obelisk Arena for Latitude’s opening night ‘banging’ finale?

Bring it on!
