The Rolling Stone has been marching against NHS health cuts
[b]Rolling Stones[/b]’ member [b]Keith Richards[/b] has led a demonstration march against his local area’s hospital service cuts in Chichester.
The rock star who has had a home in West Wittering since the ’60s led the march through Chichester on Saturday afternoon (October 27).
The 15,000 strong crowd were campaigning against possible Sussex hospital cuts, including their local hospital, St Richards being downgraded.
The Rolling Stone has his main home in Connecticut, USA, but owns Redlands in West Wittering reports BBC Sussex news.
A spokeswoman for the 63-year-old guitarist said: “Keith Richards is a long-standing member of the West Wittering community and is pleased to lend his support to local efforts to save St Richard’s Hospital.”
Actors [b]Christopher Timothy[/b] and [b]Patricia Routledge[/b] also attended the march.
