Dinosaur Jr's luminous front man J. Mascis is to play an intimate solo gig in London tomorrow (February 28).

Visiting the UK briefly next week, the band's main songwriter will play a special acoustic show at the tiny capacity Metro venue on Oxford Street.

Mascis will be playing some old Dinosaur Jr tunes as well as some from the forthcoming album “Beyond.”

The show will be free to fans – mainly to competition winners – but there will be a few tickets available on the door on the day.

Doors open at 8pm - Mascis is onstage at 9pm.

As previously reported, Dinosaur Jr will be making new album track "Almost Ready" available as a free download on March 5.
