Stretching its meat-and-potatoes formula to include dizzy exuberance, wayward melodies, varying time signatures and harp and harmonica detail alongside guitars and synth. Their self-titled debut album sold around 25,000 copies through the Internet and word-of-mouth alone – all packaged and shipped from the band’s front room – before they landed a deal.

They play Latitude’s Obelisk Arena on Saturday.

Latitude takes place July 12 - 15 at Henham Park, Southwold, Suffolk.
